What CEOs Want from HR and People Development
Steve keynoted at the CIPD's flagship conference "HRD 2009 - People and Organisational Development" on Wednesday 22nd. Speaking on "What CEOs Want from HR and People Development", Steve challenged the assembled HR directors both to deliver the short term performance essential to their businesses' survival but also to keep their CEOs' eyes firmly fixed on positioning for growth coming out of the recession by developing the best talent in their industry. The speech set up a lively audience interrogation both Steve and Premier Farnell CEO Harriet Green (1 of only 5 FTSE250 CEOs).
